Vettori to lead RCB in IPL
New Zealand former captain Daniel Vettori will be leading his team Royal Challengers Bangalore in fourth edition of IPL. The legendary Indian leg spinner Anil Kumble was the captain of RCB for last two years. As Kumble has decided not to play in IPL onwards, Vijay Mallya, the owner of team have given the this responsibility to Vettori.
Anil Kumble who led the team to Runners-up in 2009 and third spot in 2010 editions of IPL, had quit the captaincy of RCB to take up a full-time cricket administration career. He is now president of the Karnataka State Cricket Association.
Vettori has lead his New Zealand team to semis of this year's world cup where they faced defeat in the hands of lankans.
Siddharth Mallya the Chairman of RCB sports & former captain Anil Kumble have also expressed their faith in Vettori as captain of team.
